County Social Workers
Boerners
The Boerners are a couple who wish to adopt their niece. A special prosecutor and a grand jury investigation into Nicollette County's Department of Human Services has been requested. Nicollette County DHS placed placed the Boerners' Neice outside of her extended family before performing a relative search contrary to Minnesota's laws. We estimate that Nicollette County has spent nearly $250,000 to keep this child away from her relatives.
Child Protection Services
Matt Kneen's Case
Child protection services came and took away Matt Kneen's two children. They placed them into two foster homes who neglected the medical care of one of the children. Both children then died in a house fire at one of the foster parents homes. Their funeral was on 9/11/2001.
Guardian Ad Litem
Anne McNattin
Ann McNattin is a Guardian Ad Litem who's billing practices, judicial relationships, and ethical standards we highly question. Of whom we are aware, she had billed four divorce cases over $90,000 combined. We believe she neglects her position as a guardian Ad Litem, and becomes a legal consultant and advocate for the custodial parent.
Judges
Judge Fetch
Judge Fetch has refused to release copies of audio tape of Jeff Marcolina's court testimony. We believe he has altered the transcripts and mischaracterized Jeff's behavior in the court room. R-KIDS had two witnesses in teh court room that observed Jeff's behavor. They state his behavior was impeccable. One witness was an attorney.
Judge Beddows
An excerpt from Abuse of Discretion: "A father and his attorney could not understand rulings handed down by Referee Beddow that have put the father's very young son at great risk, effectively relegating the child to a life of poverty, abuse and degradation. The father was informed by friends that many people had concerns about Referee Beddow, and because of this he discovered that all was not well in Referee Beddow's personal life. He received information through public court records that described what was going on in Referee Beddow Referee Beddow's personal life. From the actual court transcript, here is a description of the felony crime that Beau Beddow, son of Referee Earl F. Beddow, Jr., was prosecuted for last year. This was taking place at the same time as the father's custody trial for his own son. There is a concern that the striking parallels between the father's own case, which involves a dysfunctional and highly violent former stepson, and Referee Beddow's own experiences have effectively desensitized Referee Beddow to dysfunctional behavior, making him incapable of ruling properly on it"
