Precint Caucus
From R-KIDS of MN and GPF
Here is how the process works:
1. When you are at your precinct caucus you will end up going to a room where your specific caucus will be held. When the time comes introduce your Resolutions one at a time. After a resolution is introduced there will be a debate on the resolution.. After the debate is done then the Resolution will be voted on. Then they proceed to the next resolution. Most of our resolutions should find a significant amount of support. Try to get elected as a delegate to the BPOU (house district) convention.
2. Find out when the resolution committee is going to meet and ask if you can help out or ask if you can be on that committee. The Resolution committee is an elected position. Helping out with this committee will help to make sure your resolutions go further up the process.
3. When your caucus is done call the R-KIDS phone number (651-492-8951) and let us know what Resolutions passed your precinct and if you were elected as a delegate.
4. At the BPOU convention all of the resolutions that passed the precinct caucus will be heard again and another vote taken. This is why it is important for you to be elected a delegate so that you can show up and vote on your resolution when your house district meets. Take notice of who is voting for your issues and vote them in as delegates also.
5. At the BPOU convention try to get elected aa a delegate to the Congressional district and be on the resolution committee. Being elected for the Congressional district will also take you to the state convention too.
Your local legislators or those running for office should be at these meeting. Take the time to introduce yourself and see if there is any way you can help their campaigns. Talk to them about your concerns. That is why they ran for office.
